About Aquatic Abilities LLC
Aquatic Abilities LLC offers private instruction and coaching for children and adults with a primary focus of water safety, stroke development, and aquatic fitness.
Most sessions occur within 30, 45, and 60 minute time windows and take place at your residence or a local pool. The instructor provides all necessary equipment for lessons. Alternative options are available for those who do not have a pool at their residence.
Coaching sessions and adaptive swimming sessions are customizable, with both remote and in-person programming that is established based on the client's goals.
A Bit About Emily:
I am the lead instructor and business owner of Aquatic Abilities LLC! I began swim lessons at six months old and have loved the water ever since! My participation continued from parent and child swim lessons to a neighborhood league, competitive year-round teams, and into high school and college. I ventured into open water swimming in college, joined several local Masters Swim teams in my adulthood, and continue to work with a coach myself. I began teaching lessons along this journey (as early as 15-years old) and have had the opportunity to instruct private, group, and parent and child lessons since then in different capacities. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to formally provide swim and aquatic instruction through Aquatic Abilities LLC since 2022.
I am grateful to be able to link this passion with my practice as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. When I'm not in the pool, I'm working within the field of neurologic rehabilitation, helping individuals learn about alternative ways to pursue their hobbies and passions after experiencing traumatic accidents and neurologic conditions. Recreational Therapy helps to provide me with a holistic perspective and unique approach as a swim instructor. The values at the foundation of my work include outcome-focused care and instruction, an individualized approach, and a focus on functional skills that benefit other activities outside of the pool.

My free time consists of almost as much time in the pool as my work time through my daily personal training and newfound love for Deep End Fitness! But I have to admit, I love a nice beach and our amazing Texas rivers and springs a bit more than the pool! I also generally enjoy being outside while on walks with my two dogs, cycling, hiking, and traveling to new places. There are so many beautiful things to see and experience!
