About Aquatic Abilities LLC

Aquatic Abilities LLC offers private instruction and coaching for children and adults with a primary focus of water safety, stroke development, and aquatic fitness.

Most sessions occur within 30, 45, and 60 minute time windows and take place at your residence or Gigglin Marlin Dive School at 4502 Almeda Road, a local indoor heated pool in the Houston area. I am additionally able to rent residential pool spaces near Meyerland and Montrose. Current areas served include: West University, Bellaire, Meyerland, Tanglewood, River Oaks, Montrose, and the Heights! The instructor provides all necessary equipment for lessons besides goggles and swim attire.

Coaching sessions and adaptive swimming sessions are customizable, with both remote and in-person programming that is established based on the client's goals.

Meet the Team!

Emily is the Founder of Aquatic Abilities LLC. Her passion for swimming began at six months old in parent-and-child classes and grew through neighborhood league, year-round competitive swimming, and into high school and college. She later explored open water swimming and continues to train with Masters teams and a coach.

Emily began teaching swim lessons at 15 and has experience leading private, group, and parent-and-child instruction. Since 2022, she has been offering swim instruction through Aquatic Abilities LLC.

She also has a background in Mental Health Counseling, providing counseling services to adolescents and adults. This allows her to take a holistic, individualized approach—focusing on skill development, confidence, safety, and functional abilities that extend beyond the pool.

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her newborn son and family, being outdoors, and staying active.

Maxwell is a swim instructor with Aquatic Abilities LLC and brings 4 years of teaching experience to his work with swimmers of all ages. He is passionate about meeting each individual where they are and helping them build water safety skills, confidence, and comfort over time.

In addition to his work as an instructor, Maxwell is a full-time Master’s student at Baylor College of Medicine. He has a strong passion for helping others and values building meaningful connections with the individuals and families he works with.
